Hearts
There seems to be growing consensus at work that IE 7 is slower than both IE 6 and Firefox. I'm sure that's true in many ways, but it didn't prove to be true for the graphics demo I built a few weeks back. That demo relied on a lot of DOM insertion, and IE 7 easily outpaced Firefox in this task. To be fair, I haven't dug very deeply into this and I have some other suspicions about what might account for the difference.
I've had another half-completed card game sitting on my desktop for the last couple of weeks, so I thought I'd try to knock it out this evening. Here's my version of Hearts. This game relies on a fair amount of animation and like the graphics demo before, it too is noticeably slower on Firefox. I'd be interested in hearing other's experiences, so please let me know how it performs for you.
