New Year's Resolutions

  1. Lose 15.5 pounds. Yesterday I purchased a scale. As of this morning I weigh 185.5 lbs. That's too much and I think I'd be in a lot better shape if I weighed something like 170. So, 15.5 lbs are coming off. Whatever the topic of my posts, I'll be sure to include my weight. I figure that'll be a good way to keep me on task.
  2. Get off the couch. In a lot of ways, this relates to number 1 above. I have to start doing some sort of physical activity. Since moving to the city, I've done a lot more walking than I'm used to, but it's time to start running. I'll be hitting the treadmill for real in 2007.
  3. Stay out past midnight at least once each weekend. Last night I was playing Texas Hold'em on Xbox Live with Andy Chin until 1 AM. That's not healthy. In the new year I pledge to stay out past midnight at least once each weekend. (By the way, Andy, buy a headset!)
  4. Want what I have. I have a tendency to dwell on the things I want but don't have. I think I'd be better off if I spent more time appreciating the things I do have.
  5. Don't lose sight of your goals. Goal number four is all fine and good, but I won't let it change who I am.
  6. Blog more. I started this blog at the end of June and posted 38 times. That means I posted once every ten days or so. Unlike Dare Obasanjo, I think I'll make it a point to post more often. I'm going to try to post at least twice each week. We'll see if that's possible.
